Cue Room Support

Which version are you using?

The account, on-device AI, and Pro instructions below apply to version 1.2. Version 1.1 (including build 53) uses the earlier Cue Room Plus and personal OpenAI-key flow: document import sends selected PDF pages, photos, or decoded document text directly to OpenAI after you enable requests and choose Continue with OpenAI. Its optional OpenAI voices, recorded-take transcription, and paraphrased cue checks also use your connected account. API usage is billed separately and is not included in Plus. Version 1.1 has no Cue Room developer account or shared backend. Manage its key, requests, and cached audio in Apple & OpenAI settings; installed Apple voices rehearse saved scripts without a key. The privacy and terms pages retain version 1.1 disclosures. Updating does not automatically convert an existing Plus subscription to Pro.

Getting started

Sign in with Apple to begin. Cue Room keeps this account for use across its features and checks your subscription automatically. After sign-in, try the short sample rehearsal, subscribe to Cue Room Pro, or restore an existing purchase. New subscriptions are Pro; existing paid Plus subscriptions remain restorable for their on-device tools. Privacy, Terms, Restore purchases, and Manage saved data are available from the welcome screen.

Importing your script

Choose a PDF, Word DOCX, or text file, scan pages with the camera, or select photos. Native PDF text extraction and Vision OCR read your pages on this device. Gemma analyzes scripts on compatible devices once downloaded; Apple Intelligence is the local fallback when available. Review the characters, dialogue, scenes, and uncertain or excluded passages against your original, then choose your part and save. AI can misread words or speakers. Completed analysis is checkpointed locally; after an interruption, reopen Add a script and resume the draft. Keep Cue Room open during local AI analysis. For unclear scans, use brighter, sharper images or correct the recognized source text.

Preparing on-device AI

The optional Gemma enhancement downloads automatically over Wi-Fi on compatible devices. Its one-time download uses about 2.6 GB plus extra installation space. Built-in tools remain usable while it downloads. iOS manages background transfer timing; force-quitting may interrupt a transfer until Cue Room reopens. Pause or resume from the library, or manage and remove the model in AI settings. An explicit pause or removal is preserved. Model licenses remain available offline in AI settings. Downloading Gemma does not activate Pro AI or send scripts.

Rehearsing

Choose your role, then rehearse with installed Apple voices or cast recordings. Local listening detects the end of your line on supported devices. Rehearsal options let you change reply timing or use manual navigation; Next remains available when recognition misses a cue. Once signed in with a locally verified paid subscription, local tools remain available during a temporary service outage. Camera, microphone, and speech features depend on device support and permissions.

Pro AI

Pro includes cloud script fallback, contextual voice casting, generated speech, recorded-take transcription, and paraphrased cue checks within the account allowance. Activation explains the content shared with Cue Room's backend and OpenAI and asks for permission once for your signed-in account. Choose Continue with Pro AI to activate or Not now to continue with local tools. You can activate later in AI settings. Your subscription controls cloud eligibility after activation; no personal API key or separate cloud-processing switch is required. Withdraw Pro AI permission in AI settings stops new cloud requests and cancels queued voice preparation while preserving your account, subscription, local tools, and saved audio. Already-sent requests may finish. Cloud sharing stays declined until you explicitly activate again; withdrawal does not delete provider-held data or cancel subscription billing.

Original PDFs and photos stay on device. Cloud analysis can send recognized text and role context when local analysis fails. Saving a reviewed Pro import with Pro AI activated queues bounded play context, role notes, and dialogue for voice casting, then dialogue for speech generation. Manual voice choices and existing recordings are preserved. Confirmed speech is saved locally for reuse; changing words or voices, clearing audio, or retrying an interrupted request may need new generation. Acting directions do not change the current synthetic voice delivery. Transcription uploads the take you choose; paraphrased cue checks send recognized words and the expected line without microphone audio.

The current allowance is up to $5 USD of provider processing per Cue Room account per UTC calendar month, subject to a shared service budget and availability. It is not a cash credit, does not carry forward, and creates no additional Apple Account bill. A long script may reach a limit before all speech is prepared. Saved audio remains usable. A cold service can take about a minute to respond. Cloud unavailability should not delete saved work or prevent supported local processing. Contact support if verification repeatedly fails; do not share account tokens.

Subscription and billing

Cue Room Pro is a monthly auto-renewable subscription. Apple's purchase sheet shows your localized price before purchase. Use Restore purchases with the Apple Account that subscribed. Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Cue Room account does not cancel billing. For a refund request, visit Apple Report a Problem.

Your data

Scripts, recordings, drafts, and progress are stored on this device. Export scripts from the script menu to keep an independent copy. Manage saved data lets you export or delete scripts without paid access. AI settings provides Sign out, Delete Cue Room account, and Clear Downloaded AI Audio. Account deletion revokes Apple authorization and removes active account access; limited identity, transaction-binding, and quota records remain for abuse prevention. It does not delete local scripts, exported copies, provider records, or your App Store subscription. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for details.
