Cue Room Terms of Use
The main sections below describe version 1.2: Apple sign-in, on-device script processing, and Pro-managed cloud AI. If you use version 1.1 (including build 53), its earlier personal OpenAI-key flow is described under If you use version 1.1 at the end of this page. The original PDF/photo upload and separate API billing disclosures still apply to version 1.1. Updating does not automatically convert an existing Plus subscription to Pro.
Effective October 16, 2026
Cue Room is provided by Arman Siddiqui. These terms explain the rehearsal service and subscription. The app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms supplement that license and do not replace it or limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Your subscription
Cue Room Pro is the monthly auto-renewable subscription offered for new purchases. It provides on-device script import and organization, rehearsal with installed Apple voices, cast recordings, progress, contextual AI voice casting, cached generated speech, and Pro cloud AI features within the account usage allowance. Existing Cue Room Plus subscriptions remain restorable and continue to provide their on-device tools. Sign in with Apple is required before entering the app; paid use also requires an active subscription. The app retains that account session for use throughout the app, with automatic renewal when possible. A sample rehearsal is available after sign-in and before purchase. Device capabilities and permissions determine which camera and speech features are available. Cloud fallback requires an internet connection; on-device analysis depends on a compatible local model being available.
The localized price shown by the App Store purchase sheet, including applicable taxes as presented by Apple, is the price you authorize. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; renewal charges may occur within the 24 hours before renewal. No free trial is included unless Apple explicitly presents one in your purchase offer.
Manage or cancel in Settings, your Apple Account, Subscriptions, or through Manage subscription in Cue Room. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless Apple specifies otherwise. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Restore purchases using the same Apple Account. Refund requests are handled by Apple at Report a Problem, subject to applicable rights. Your saved scripts are not deleted when your subscription ends; keep exported copies of work you need independently of the app.
Manage saved data remains available from the welcome and subscription screens without sign-in or paid access. You can export or delete saved scripts, sign out of your Cue Room account, and clear downloaded AI audio there.
Pro cloud and on-device AI
On supported devices, native text recognition and local AI process imported scripts without OpenAI. Gemma is the primary local model after download; Apple Intelligence is the fallback when available. Pro cloud AI requires Apple sign-in, a server-verified active Pro subscription, and the one-time third-party AI permission presented during Pro activation. Your subscription controls access after activation; no separate cloud-processing switch is offered. Previous declined permission is preserved until you activate Pro AI. The implemented Free tier is hidden at launch and has no synthetic voices, including Apple voices. Existing paid Plus is a separate legacy entitlement. The backend supplies provider credentials; users do not supply or receive an OpenAI key. Cloud features are subject to per-account request, concurrency, and usage allowances and provider availability. The current cloud allowance is up to $5 USD in provider processing per account per UTC calendar month; the service also has a shared spending limit. Cloud features may pause when either limit is reached or the service is unavailable. This allowance is not a cash credit or an additional bill, and unused allowance does not carry forward. Pro and existing Plus subscribers retain on-device processing when cloud processing is unavailable. Device models require compatible hardware, software, language, and downloaded model availability.
You can use Withdraw Pro AI permission in AI settings to stop new cloud requests and cancel queued voice preparation without signing out or losing local tools, your subscription, or saved audio. Already-sent requests may finish. Cloud sharing remains declined for that account until you explicitly complete Activate Pro AI again. Withdrawing permission does not cancel subscription billing or delete provider-held records.
Cue Room starts the one-time Gemma download automatically on compatible devices. It uses Wi-Fi, about 2.6 GB of storage, and additional free space while being installed. You can use built-in tools immediately without waiting for the model. iOS can continue the transfer in the background and controls its scheduling; force-quitting the app may interrupt it until Cue Room reopens. Gemma becomes active automatically after verification. You can pause or resume from the library and manage or remove the model in AI settings without deleting scripts. Keep Cue Room open during Gemma analysis. Downloading this model does not grant cloud-processing permission. Model and runtime licenses remain available in AI settings.
AI can misread pages or misidentify speakers. Review dialogue against the original before rehearsing. Source words are preserved while annotations classify script rows. Transmitted requests may continue processing after cancellation. Cloud voices are synthetic. Imported Pro scripts can queue contextual voice assignment and speech preparation after saving; existing manual voice choices are preserved unless you request recasting. Confirmed audio is reused locally for unchanged speech. Editing dialogue or voices, clearing audio, or explicitly retrying an interrupted request can require new generation within the account allowance. Paraphrase matching may miss cues. Manual Next remains available.
Your scripts and recordings
You retain your rights in content you import or create. Importing a script does not grant rights to publish or distribute it. Use material and recordings you have permission to process, rehearse, record, and share. Obtain the relevant performers' permission before recording or sharing them. Do not use the app to violate another person's rights, impersonate them deceptively, or break applicable law. Follow the terms of any AI provider you connect.
Cue Room stores your work locally. Export copies through the script menu if you need a backup or want to move devices. You are responsible for the recipients you choose and for protecting exported copies and account credentials. Permission to process your content is limited to operating the features you choose. The developer does not acquire ownership of your scripts or performances.
Support and changes
Contact curtaincallsupport@icloud.com for support, rights complaints, or questions about these terms. Include the app version and a description of the issue; do not include credentials. We may update the app and these terms as functionality changes. The current terms and effective date will remain available at Cue Room Terms. App Store billing changes follow Apple's required notices and consent process.
Apple's Standard EULA governs the license, warranties, and liability, subject to applicable law. These terms do not impose a separate arbitration agreement or waive statutory consumer rights. Privacy handling is described in the Cue Room Privacy Policy.
If you use version 1.1
Version 1.1 offers Cue Room Plus, a monthly auto-renewable subscription for its script library, import, recording, and rehearsal tools. Apple's localized purchase sheet is the price you authorize. The renewal, cancellation, restore, script/recording rights, and Apple Standard EULA provisions above also apply. Version 1.1 does not require a Cue Room account. Its document import sends selected PDF pages, photos/images, or decoded Word/text content directly to OpenAI using your enabled personal API key. OpenAI credits are billed separately and are not included in Plus. Installed Apple voices can rehearse saved scripts without a key; optional OpenAI voices, recorded-take transcription, and paraphrased cue checks also use separate API credits.
Review imported words and speakers against the source. Completed import sections may be reused; failed sections can be retried automatically, and transmitted or cancelled requests may still incur provider charges. Provider pricing, limits, terms, and availability apply. Manage requests, the saved key, and downloaded audio in Apple & OpenAI settings. Manage saved data allows export/deletion and key/audio removal without paid access. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Updating to version 1.2 preserves an existing Plus entitlement for its on-device tools; Pro cloud AI requires the separate verified Pro entitlement and its activation permission. No automatic Plus-to-Pro conversion or included version 1.1 API credits are promised.
